Book Club: Help us bring inspiring, thought-provoking books into prison settings so women can reflect, learn, and connect with one another through shared discussion.
Read Together Book Program: Help us purchase copies of the same book for mothers and their children, allowing them to read together from a distance and talk about the stories during phone calls. It’s a simple but powerful way to stay connected.
Letter-Writing Supplies: Help us provide cards, paper, and postage so mothers can keep in touch with their children—offering love, reassurance, and presence through every handwritten note.
Travel Support for Family Visits: Help cover the cost of travel for children and caregivers who would otherwise be unable to visit. Many prisons are located hours away from home, making visits financially and logistically out of reach.
Back-to-School Kits: Give incarcerated mothers the chance to pack school supplies for their children making it possible for them to contribute to a meaningful milestone in their child’s life.
Student Stipends: Support stipends for college students studying women’s issues and criminal justice who are helping move AIW’s mission forward through research, writing, and outreach.
Holiday Toy Drive: Help us ensure child feels the magic of the holidays and incarcerated mothers can experience the joy of giving. Helps us provide new, wrapped presents and help families feel connected, seen, and remembered during the holiday season.
